It was a birthday party where I knew there would be drinking but I felt very obligated to go, as the woman whose birthday it was is in a sort of a crisis right now.
When I got there, I reasoned in my mind I could have *one* glass, but you know how that works.

I think I was prioritizing someone's feelings over my own sobriety this time. I knew better than to go.
I'm nowhere near able to be around alcohol right now and I should have used better judgement.
