Hi Lauren , I've said a prayer for you, and I'm sure that others praying for me has helped me stay sober for 9 days now, something is different this time and I feel happy and strong, I pray it will be this way for you too.
Take all you have learned about recovery so far, and use it positively, look forward to a happy positive future in you sober life and all you will achieve and feel great about, don't look back, that's a sad place, look forward to your happy place

Good Morning Lauren,
I'm a newcomer to SR and I appreciate your message. One of the things that helped me in the beginning, was to visualize what I wanted my recovery to be like, without relapses and with good strong support, from the fellowship. Try it! It really works and I'm grateful to a member who showed me this method. He also gave me a quotation from Benjamin Franklin,"Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn" You are in our prayers. The fellowship and your higher power can do for you.....what you could'nt do for yoursel!

Recovery is possible. Do you want to be sober more than you want to drink? I found that to be the key for me. When I wanted to be sober more than anything, I was able to stay sober. And I did it, am still doing it, one day at a time. You can too. Come here often, read and post as you see fit, and learn from our experiences.
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Lauren,
I am new as well to recovery and yes I too want it to stop. May I ask what you think leads you down the using path? I mean do you know if reasons and or situations that seem to bring these events on? I know had several in my days.

Lauren, praying for you to have all you need in your battle. I must look up Saints list and see if there is a Patron Saint for alcoholics and/or addicts.
Keep strong and keep posting here.
God bless
