Arrow Dinner Stress

First off, I am not sure where to post. I feel most "at home" in the newcomers section, so this is where I am posting. If it needs to be moved thats fine, just let me know where it's moved!

Quiet a few of you have related to me in the dinner stress/can't take this/need a drink. Well I am only on day 2 of this so I know I am pretty weak & may give in (but I won't).

I have a dinner guest tonight. It's 3:30pm here, and I just cooked up 2 curries. Then cooked my own healthier curry.
The rice I will cook fresh, and the naan breads just need to be popped into the oven.

Then I made up 4 fruit salads and put them in their bowls.

So hopefully this will help me feel all lovely & calm tonight when I am just heating things up & doing the minimal amount of dishes.

I do feel quiet stressed now, lol, so it doesn't take the stress away but it's just nice to have more time to deal with it.

I doubt I can be this organised every day though, especially the days I work.

Now I just need to:
do the dishes I created
clean my toilet & bathroom
Vacuum & then mop all the floors..........

ugh!

Just sharing my thoughts.

Anyone else who gets "dinner stress" come up with any methods?

Tryingto,

That sounds like a good plan and a great dinner. I think in the beginning it's good to change routines. As far as getting to the other household chores, I usually have a plan before I go to bed for what I'm going to do the next day. I keep it simple, like one good cleaning of one room a day. I just pick up a bit in the others.

I also try to add one chore I find fun, even if it's sorting ONE drawer.

I'm so glad you posted. Let us know how your dinner went!

Love,

Lenina

I am on day 6, surprise surprise to me! I find my most stressful time is after work, getting home and not having a drink I've had to find little jobs to do while dinner cooking. I have small projects to keep me busy. Go through junk drawer, clean birds cage, play with dogs, anything but sit at the computer, that is a definate trigger point for me.
I also am taking kudzu to help with the cravings, and it is helping me so so much.

I was ok. I just heated the food up.
I was a bit "absent" from the evening without my alcohol. I just wanted to go to bed. I didn't talk very much. Hopefully it wasn't noticed. Most of the time we were watching a movie so I think it was ok.
I am going to try & think of some simple dinners .......
Feeling a bit flat but I guess it's natural. Trying to keep busy.
