Language of Letting Go - Nov. 24 - Surrender
You are reading from the book The Language of Letting Go
Surrender
Surrender means saying, "Okay, God. I'll do whatever You want." Faith in the God of our recovery means we trust that, eventually, we'll like doing that.
Today, I will surrender to my Higher Power. I'll trust that God's plan for me will be good, even if it is different than I hoped for or expected.

My bottom was the day I pulled my car off the highway in tears and just told God that I could not do one more day living like I was and then I gave it all to Him.
Surrender, for me, meant that I had exhausted all my efforts, all my thoughts of how I could save anyone. It meant that I no longer felt the power of life and death was mine to control and I moved on taking care of MY life and leaving the rest up to God.
I have never looked back. I needed to go through the pain that took me that far, and once I surrendered I found a new courage and faith that God could do for me and for my son, what we could not do for ourselves.
Hugs

Needed that reminder today!
Thanks for this post today, I REALLY needed that today. I haven't posted for a long time, but I look at all the posts all the time. Hugs to those who are hurting, and Hurrah for those that are doing ok.
