Not All Bad

Quick update. I came to this site several years ago when I was deciding whether or not to throw my AH out at the time. I did and subsequently decided I needed to get out of PA. My son was also beginning to do drugs and drink at the time. And my daughter was living in a BAD section of town. I moved to AZ 3 years ago now. The GOOD news. My son is NOT doing drugs or drinking. My daughter followed me out here about 4 months later with her bf and my granddaughter. The bf is still a jerk, but that's another post. My son has turned around completely and I am very proud of him. We checked on some of his old friends this week and found out both of them had been arrested for possession. I shutter to think what would have happened to him if we had stayed in PA. Myself, I was living with my parents. Which was a BAD situation. I come from a very abusive home. And they have NOT changed. Not downgrading parents, but mine were killing me. In April of this year I finally got a GREAT job. And moved out in August to my own place. And it is wonderful. The release of stress is GREAT!!! On the down side I was diagnosed with kidney problems and congestive heart failure in August, partly due to stress and the way I had mistreated my body. In 3 months, I have completely turned my life around. I eat healthy. Do what the doctors say and feel a LOT better. And have lost 24 pounds in the process. Yes, hearing from my ex has been a step backward. But LOOK how far I've come. Some of you might remember me and my struggles back then. And it might not look like I've gotten very far. But believe me I have...and anybody can do it.

I wasn't here when you were here before, but I think you are doing GREAT!!!! I'm so glad that you've found a way to take care of you, because you deserve it!

Hugs and prayers!

I wasn't here for your original story either, Blackrose, but I'm still happy for you that things are going so well in your life! Especially with your recent diagnosis', which must have been scary. Kudos to you for following doctor's orders and improving your life!!
