Sick to death of drinking

Have little sip left in wine glass and am determined it will be my last.

Sober-Drunk-Sober-Drunk-Sober-Drunk-Drunk-Drunk. It just goes on and on.

I need to get a life- or more accurately live my life. I am bipolar 2 but other than that have pretty much everything I need for a quality life - physical health (despite years of drinking!), job, home etc.

Sun is shining. TIme to stop.

Sick and tired of being sick and tired? I had to reach that bottom before I finally cried out for help. Hope you decide to put the plug in the jug and work towards your recovery.

Welcome to SR. Glad you're here!

Hi and Welcome!

Addiction is such a vicious cycle, I'm glad you're getting off.

Get the litle sip done and be done with it.

If you want to stop I hope you find the same support and incentive from here that I and many others have.

Welcome to SR

Welcome to SR. Good luck with the first few days. They can be tough - especially the sleeping issues. But after that the feeling of being more energetic and well is awesome!

The good news....

The good news is you don't have to pick up and drink again! That was so exciting to me! When you have had enough, you will do just that: never put that poison in your body ever again.

AA has been so helpful and supportive of me in giving me the tools I needed to do just that. And you know what? I have happiness again in my life. Take care and let us know how you're doing.

Hugs,
