Recovery Rocks!!

I just paid off my court costs. For the first time, in 4 years, I have absolutely no legal obligations hanging over my head. Of course, I still have a record, but the more time I put between me and the charge, keep doing good, it won't matter as much. It's already been 3 years.

I also just enrolled in online school. It's the same school my niece, Brit, is enrolled in for home schooling. I am taking health information technology courses, will get another assoc. degree (my 3rd), and will be prepared to get certified as a coder. This will use the medical knowledge I already have, and add more skills so I'm more employable. They put me on a payment plan, and it's only $42/month.

I am so excited!!! I'm a wierdo..I love school and being mentally challenged.

I was also able to pay dad $100 today, for the first time in a long time.

I still have a slew of bills to pay, and my job still sucks, but darned if I don't feel like I'm moving forward despite it all.

Even before my addiction, I was horrible with money. For some reason, recovery has made me much more responsible and I like it

Thanks for all of you for always being there for me. Glad I can give a little GOOD news of my recovery journey!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Wohooooo! I'm down to the wire here on this semester, less than 30 days left, with 3 finals, 4 final group projects, an oral exam in medical terminology, plus the daily work!

Good for you, and I hope you do well in school (and I know you will).

Amy, you made me think of Sister Jeanne from back in grade school. She told me "just think of all the wonderful things you could do, if you'd redirect all that energy."

You are on your way Amy!
