Gallbladder gone... Outpatient On...
Gallbladder gone... Outpatient On...
Late Friday night I had my gallbladder removed, the surgery went well. The next evening they sent me home and I was so happy, you see I was ready to get away from Nurse Ratchet.
Wednesday I will begin Intensive Outpatient Program for my depression. I will also begin seeing my one on one therapist. I am really looking forward to it, I feel as if a weigh has been lifted off my shoulders even before beginning the program.
I wanted all of you to know that I owe so much of this to you; I may have never gone to the psychiatrist if it weren’t for my good friends here at SR.
Love and hugs, Suzette

I'm glad the surgery went well, and I'm pleased to see you'll be getting help for your depression. I've suffered from it for years, but finally enjoy a reprieve of sorts now that I'm taking care of it rather than pretending it's not there or by drinking it into a corner.
Get lots of rest, Suzette, and be gentle with yourself.

Wow, Suzette!!!
Way to take care of business. I feel so happy for you that I won't bother to find the words.
I hope you find therapy as rewarding as I do, although mine is not nearly intensive. I finally found a practitioner in this remote community that I can actually look forward to seeing.
I think you will learn to accept the fact that you are a wonderful person, doing her best, in very trying circumstances. It's all there, you simply need to discover it.
Of the many whom I know that had their gallbladder removed, almost all found it transforming, physically. We can learn (especially us drunks and addicts) to live with levels of toxicity in our bodies that most cannot tolerate, or would not.
Great news. Rest up and be as honest with your therapist as you are with so many of us.

Really am happy to hear that your surgery went well Suzette. Sounds like you are moving ahead, strong in your recovery with plans to attend OP. That's wonderful. Make sure you take it easy and take good care of yourself too.
Really glad to hear you so positive again Suzette - you sound like your wonderful recovering "self" again! Thanks for keeping us posted - keep on taking good care of yourself! You are in my prayers!
