Hi everyone, back and determined

I joined this great group in August and had 19 AF days in September (which I knew wouldn't last as I chose Nov as my quit date). I am the type that needs to have a target date before embarking on a life change. I haven't had any "bad" days since Sept, been really trying to moderate, but want to give this poison up as I feel bloated, lazy and generally unwell.

I am excited to be back...

Good to see you back!

You will feel much healthier without the poison.

You too can live without alcohol. It does get better. Just stay on recovery road with the rest of us and travel in good company!

Welcome back!:ghug3

Thanks everyone,

Tazman53, I am embarking on a real health kick. I need to lose at least 20 pounds and am using that as my motivation at first, I know once I get past 30 days I will realize how much better I feel. I also suffer from terrible anxiety and it is not half as bad when I don't drink - I quit in the past for 5 years and I was in the best shape (physically and mentally) of my life. I thought I could moderate and that lasted for a year or so and the past year it has turned into the old routine again, drinking Thursday, Friday nights and then starting early afternoon on Saturdays.

Also, I will be an active participant on this wonderful site.

Hi there Itsmytime. Glad you came back. I tried moderating too. Finally admitted I can't do it. I'm 3 days into quitting and looking forward to better times! Good luck.
