be strong friend...I remember going out to bars to watch the game or just go dancing with girlfriends early on in my last attempt at sobriety..and eventually I was drinking again...if you hang out in a barber shop long enough, you will end up getting a haircut... Just a thought..good luck

just reading it and my addict self had a moment of excitement. trying to hook me into it. for 2 seconds.

but I am simply saying NOPE...you can't my little addict voice. I love you and i know you mean good but I am not going in that direction.

but my addict turns it into all glamour. all a relaxin fun time and the possibility of friendship and fun

In my first sobriety being around alchohol and drugs didn't really bother me....this sobriety I am not comfortable being around it....For me the important thing is to know where I am at on that at any given time and acting accordingly. When I have been around alchohol it has made me very uncomfortable, but I have been around it when I had a real reason to be where I was and I focus on the reason I am there...and have a way to leave if it gets too scarry!
