Please can I come back?

Hi,

I've been away for a long time, very very sick with my alcohol addiction and for ages too ashamed to even log on to SR.

Just hoping that you'll let me come back and have one more chance to break free from the alcohol.

I've been badly beaten up by the alcohol these past months - disciplined at work for my drink problem, had to leave my flat (as I spent the rent money on drink), became a financial burden on my parents (which has damaged relations with them). I also look and feel absolutely awful.

I desperately want to get better. Please can I come back.

PB

Paddington! Come back, please do.

I just fell off the old wagon again yesterday so I can understand your remorse.

Yes, it does knock the snot outa you when you feel you've goofed up. Refocus and try again.

So, come on Paddington, pick yourself up and have a marmalade sandwich instead.

Glad you are posting again paddington! I missed seeing you around. It took many years for me to be able to quit drinking....just rededicate yourself as many times as it takes.

Also, would you like some sticky buns with those marmolade sandwiches

Hello, dear friend. You are still on my "friends" list, take a look!

I've often wondered how you were doing. We've missed you. There are others on my list that I refuse to delete.

One thing good about relapse is that it erases any doubt that sobriety is better. Don't go away, regardless of how you are doing. This is a powerful place, and there is a place for all of us.

Welcome back. I am glad to see you working on your sobriety again.

Sounds like your last few months and my last few months were similar. It's a good feeling to know that we are not alone isn't it!

Thanks for sharing.

Hi Paddington, I don't know you from when you were last here but I can't imagine for one moment that anyone would not welcome you back. Get the support you need and deserve right now. You can do this.
Here you are with a marmite sarni - lots of B vitamins which alcohol depletes!
