As many of you know my son was recently diagnosed with Juvinile Rheumatoid Arthritis. The doctor started him on prednisone on Friday and said be Monday he should be able to move around with less pain. His symptoms began in late August.

He can barely get out of bed, I brought his breakfast up to him earlier, he ate it, and went right back to sleep. The pain keeps him up most of the night. He constantly has that pained look on his face.

I make him move around some during the day and to get some sunlight, it seems like thats all I can do.

Please, Please keep praying for my son.

I am so thankfull for all of these prayers, it brings a tear to my eye.

The hardest thing about this is seeing him so fatigued and hardly able to walk. My kids mean the absolute world to me. I am feeling panicky.

Suzette, I found a website you might find helpful. It's part of the Arthritis Foundation. It's Juvenile Arthritis | JA Alliance | Symptoms Treatments | Prevention Tips | Pain Relief Advice. Maybe you've already been there, but it's just a thought. I had a friend in high school who had JA. By the time she was in her mid-twenties she didn't have any problems from it. Apparently it goes into remission after adolescence in many cases. Sending love your way. Joanie
