My life has has so much meaning today,...
because I have been sober for fifteen months...
At my son's wedding reception last weekend, my son caught my eye as he walked towards me... "Mom." His precious smile, and kiss felt like I have been given a new life...He introduced me to many of his friends with such optimism, excitement, and pride...
Fifteen months ago, he had given up on me...He felt I had lost the will to live...Yes, I was killing myself drinking...
Because of SR, and AA, I have been given a chance to live...To the many out there struggling with addiction, I am LIVING proof that sobriety is possible...OH, and not just me, look at all the winners with twenty four hours!!!

Oh, that was heartwarming, Missymae - further proof that we can rise above this disease and have a whole new life. Your son's pride in the new you is so well-deserved. Like Mike, I'm not having the cheeriest of days, but this made me smile & get teary at the same time.
