hello everyone,

i am in a bit of a pickle because i am due to visit my family(who i havent seen in two years) next friday..i relapsed multiple time since i failed in my last day program attempt..they think i am 3 months clean!! i feel alot of shame over this and have had an urge to tell them, but i know this would hurt them! I am goin to 2 meetings a day in london now, and i will have 10 days clean when i arrive in Pa. i also have a helpline number for over there so i can get to some meetings in that area.Any support available? step one is really sinking in and i'm bursting into tears at the drop of a hat..i dont want to do that while i'm there!! any way thankyou, any help would be really appreciated.

You will get lots of support on here. I am not able to offer advice as I don't work the steps but there are many people on SR who do and will give you all the advice you need.

hey sinkie, since i don't know your family, it's hard to offer suggestions. i'd hope they can be supportive of you. having some phone numbers and a meeting plan is EXCELLENT!

if you can get online, come here too while on your trip!

Thankyou i will use this forum over there its really good..well i told my family what has been happening, it seems my mom knew something was up anyway and said so via email..its weird that mother child connection! any way i'm just waiting for replys now, i'm sure it will be alright, a leat i dont have to lie and feel like **** because i'm an addict, powerless at that. Any way thanks i;ll check back in tommorrow.
