Hello everyone
Hi i just joined the site looking for people who understand what im going through. If im posting in the wrong area please let me know. Trust me i understand my problems might not compare to others but what im dealing with is hard to me. So im just introducing myself and hope to meet some friends who can offer some support. Look forward to talking to everyone.

Hi kevin, well i never thought it would happen to me but some occasional pill popping let to an oxy addiction for about a year now. I havent taken any today and can not believe how i feel. I havent skipped a day since i started with these. So i am scared what tomorrow and the next day brings. I started doing some research and found this site. I would love to do it on my own.

No matter what your problems are, someone here will be going thru, or have gone thru similar problems. And no matter what your problems are, they are not minor compared to others'. Our difficulties are hard for us to handle, no matter how 'small' or 'big' we think they are.

Welcome to SR!!
This is a great forum to start out on. I also recommend checking out the substance abuse forum, as there are a lot of recovering oxy addicts there, and there are several threads about withdrawal, what to expect, etc.
I'm a recovering crack addict, and a huge part of my recovery is SR.

Why do it on your own if you don't have to. This site is great but it is no substitute for a Dr. especially if you are going through withdrawals. You might consider getting yourself checked out so you can detox safely.
Then consider a program of recovery - NA, treatment or whatever. The important thing is that you don't have to do this on your own.

Hi Dropcorr. SR is the reason I sit here sane instead of chugging down my 20th beer of the day. This amazing assortment of people gave me the courage to fight my addiction and showed me I could have a whole new life. I hope you find the hope and inspiration you need here.
