What do YOU do or have YOU done......
in your recovery? I posted the traits..... http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ml#post1912176 -
What steps have you taken or are you taking in your recovery?
What steps have you taken or are you taking in your recovery?
1. Coming to SR (duh!)
2. Working the 12 steps for codies - (I'm still on step 1)
3. Al-anon meetings
4. When in obsession mode - visualizing myself stepping out of it.
5. Playing the tape all the way through (after many cycles of "knowing" if I re-act this way or that way..... x will happen.
6. Seeking out my enjoyments.
7. Letting go and letting God
8. Reading about addiction and codependency.
9. Before looking at someone else - looking in the mirror.
10. Recognizing that dealing with an addict means to expect the unexpected.
11. Looking at my part in it all.... my role.
I WAS doing hot yoga - boy that helped SO much...... haven't done it for a few months - thinking I need to get back into that. Same with keeping my schedule full....
Recognizing that it's progress not perfection in my recovery. It takes time.....

Abundance -
those are all good things and pretty much what I do too. Also....
1. read a daily meditation in the morning
2. connect to HP and ask for guidance
3. give back when I can
4. review my day before I go to sleep
5. keep a gratitude list
What I need to be better at is self care.....getting sleep, exercise, and eating correctly. I've let every bit of that go as I have dealt with all the drama and trauma of addiction and sobriety. NOT GOOD. Today - I will begin to take steps to take better care of me.
