It's not a half bad idea though. Another board I belong to does this about once every 3-4months. We post pics in a thread and it dies after a week or two and then it comes up again. We then repeat the process.
I will add that it's the closest knit board I have ever seen. We do other things like signing a flag and mailing it to the next person. They sign it and then it moves on to the next. There's X-Mas gift exchanges and monthly gatherings of some sort at someones home.
It's developed from a discussion board to a brotherhood with 5000-6000 active members worldwide that will bend over backwards for someone they've never met.
Maybe it's becaues we can link a face with the people we are typing to.

I would want to do a before and after pic. I've been kind of tearful today, and the last couple of years of drinking really show anyway. At least I don't have to worry about getting hit on at meetings. I do look at the bright side, or try to.
I have a picture of me when I was sober before, I think I put it on my profile page, and I think I look completely different now. One of the benefits of staying sober is you don't look bloated and tired and etc.
