hi guys I had a relaspe.
forgot how devious I can be!! I went off anitibuse but I will start taking it again tomorrow as I still have alot of alcohol in my system drank 2 and a half bottles of wine and paying for it today. Im posting this is I have to be honest I screwed up but guess what I did 5 weeks I know I can do it!! and I was a lot happier too. So I stuffed up does that give my husband a right to call me useless bitch and other hurtful things :0(.

I'm really impressed you came here and posted about this too.
We both know Antabuse is only good as long as you take it...so take it LOL
make sure you tell your counsellors/drs about this too...there may be other things to do
I hope you're still going to meetings and all the other stuff Ang - you need to get to that point where you don't want to drink...ever.

And your husband wasn't very helpful, but I expect he was scared a bit too. Try not to take it to heart...

Yeah- we have all been where you are. Start over tomorrow and try to say sober one day at a time. Relapsing is not an option if we want to live. Our disease wants to kill us! I don't want to see that happen to you. I have been to too many funerals lately!
I hope you are going to plenty of 12-step meetings, calling your sponsor and support people, working the steps and praying. I could not stay sober without doing that.
I would put together like 2 months at a time, but always relapse. This time I did 4 months of treatment, did everything my sponsor told me to do and guess what? I am still sober! Surprise surprise!

why did I do it got that stinkin feeling but I was planning this I am devious and as hubby said un trustworthy!! ooh go away hangover :0( I so thirsty but if I drink too much water Im sick yuk yuk yuk yuk!!!

glad your getting starte over right away angie! Think about the things that worked when you were sober for the 5 weeks...and then look for more tools to help you this time. The self hatred never helped me stay sober, but when I started to realize that I am a good and strong person, more things became possible....we will all be here to help you.

Do stay positive. Its hard with the hangover I know. You'll feel better in the morning and 5 weeks is great. You did those one day at a time and you can do it again. Listen to the support and the friends you have here. Its all good!

Awww Ang :ghug1 These things happen to the best (and the worst) of us... Take it easy, dont beat yourself up. When its safe to take the antabuse again, I hope you do - jump back on the horse!
