Finalized my Divorce Today
Hi Folks,
Well, I did it, I got out of the relationship with my AW. My divorce was finalized this morning!!!
I first found SR 3 days after my AW and I separated and I felt totally lost. THANKS to everyone here for listening, giving advice, etc. I know I've had some crazy thoughts and probably said some crazy things on here.
I feel someone more "found" now and am excited to move on with my life and continue getting straight. I read a few posts from those just starting to face the battle and it sounds so familiar.
Thanks again everyone and bet of luck!
Sincerely,
TD

Hi, going through that very thing myself last Friday, I know it is a day for sadness and celebration. It is strange to me how people say it is "just a piece of paper" but I have felt this huge relief in the past 4 days that I really can "let go" now. I applaud your courage and wish you an amazing future!

Thanks Everyone!
Shellygirl - You nailed it as far as I'm concerned. There was a sadness, nobody gets married and plans to be divorced. But that "piece of paper" was like breaking shackles for me. No more fighting, no more court, no more of a LOT of things. I felt EXHAUSTED today... but I also had a great sense of peace about me.
