Tell me about your User Name!

I know it is kind of an obsure question, and some of them are very obvious, which I appreciate so much, like: Tryingsohard, NoMoMerlotMamma, TooMutch, TTOBST (To Thine On Self Be True), ItsMyTime, etc. But I remember sitting at my office trying to think of something unique and I just sat there thinking and thinking, uh computer, no printerhead, no pencilhead, no calendargirl, NO all of a sudden I came up with Eclipse...no idea where it came from...just popped into my head. So I went with it. Later I googled eclipse just to see what it would say and this is what I got:

In Greek: "I cease to exist," "I am absent",

The loss, usually temporary or partial, of light, brilliancy, luster, honor, consciousness, etc.; obscuration; gloom; darkness.

to darken or hide

How depressing! is this all a subconscious thing that I am just figuring out in my new state of soberness? Is there where I had gone?

I think I may have to change my name at some point to: sunburst
a sudden emergence of the sun from behind clouds --we'll see how things go!

How did you come up with you user name and wow I am too deep for myself tonite!

When I first came here my username was Rose62. I was almost named Rose when I was born(way back in the dark ages-1962) LOL.So I used that.

I was also paranoid at that time someone here would know me, so I didn't use my real name.Once I got over that and accepted I am an alcoholic it felt fake to not use my real name so I asked the mods to change it to that.

So-I'm Jules and I was born in '62(but I must say now it's kinda ironic that I've since found out that rule 62 is 'don't take yourself too seriously'.Um-I think it was a bit prophetic actually-LOL)

LOL, I figured you'd like that, Jules!

Actually, I took it from the repeated suggestion by AA members in Bozeman, MT that my HP could be anything, even a doorknob...

By the time I had finally "got this Sobriety thing," I had been in and out of treatment, detox, AA, NA . . . for 25 years. I first put myself into treatment four months out of high school in 1980 (yes, I'm one of those ancient old ladies born in 1962 as well. Yikes!) On one of my last trips to detox at the only hospital in the area who was willing to admit me anymore, I overheard the nurses talking and one referred to me as their "Own Queen of Relapse."

On my one year anniversary in Recovery when I got my 1 year token at my favorite meeting, as my Sponsor hugged me, I whispered "You may now call me Serenity Queen" . . . It just stuck. My son began calling me the Queen of Everything (in reference to a Mary Englebright character pictured below in my signature) So when I found SR a little over 2 years into Recovery, I choose SerenityQueen 725, July 25 (2005) being my sobriety date.

And as my signature says, it IS great to be the Queen (Happy, Joyous & Free!)

God Bless,
Judy

I was always called Cinderella growing up and then as I got older, the
nickname changed to Rella among a few others but I use Rella the most
and when I came here I used it too. I wish I had come up with something
a bit more geared towards recovery however Rella is the real me and now
so am I!

Below shows me as the happy, dancing carefree woman I was always meant
to be and thanks to recovery today it is ME!

Wow! I like everyone's stories. A little background on mine...

I'm a huge MASH fan and watching old re-runs Hawkeye was always my favorite character. 1926 is the year my beloved Detroit Red Wings came into existance.
