Screw up!
Oh joy, nearly 48 hrs clean, and I'm not anymore. The craving took over and I made the "beer run" Oddly enough, that little drink, gave me the courage to tell my oldest daughter my problem. Can't tell anyone I have a problem, unless I'm drinking. Go figure.
Tomorrow is a new day. And that's a day I'll start out sober, and go to my AA meeting. And I pray God will help me to be stronger tomorrow than I am today.

Twin, It is great that you recognize your problem. That is the step to recovery. All we ask in recovery is to have a day of reprieve from drinking. The next day will follow. When I first started recovery I had to take it "just don't let me drink now". I took it five minutes at a time. It took awhile to get my 24hrs but I eventually did. The only failure you have in recovery is when you fail to try. Keep trying! I hope you all the best. LOL
Twin,
I am so proud of you for telling your daughter. Now the secret is out and you can be real with her. She will be so proud of you. Today is another day. Like Deez said, just 5 minutes at a time. Since we are in this together I have to say you came to mind alot yesterday when I was having cravings. I am very glad to have already met a kindred spirit on this site. You can do it today!
