Alanon Meetings are
very helpful! Who would have though! 
For years I came here, and it helped. For years I read the books recommended, and it helped. For years I prayed and it helps!!! I was not able to go to the meetings in my old hometown. Since we've moved I must say that it is nice to be around people, face to face, who are at various ages and stages of going through it and the support is very good. The regularly working toward positive change and having a commitment like a meeting to keep helps me keep things on track right now.

I completely agree! I isolated myself for SO LONG, that it was weird going to the first meetings, etc. but now I really live for them. It lets me know, mee in person and talk to people who are like me! It also helped me realize that I am not crazy, and that I no longer want to be isolated.
