Right now my ear is making weird noises. It's like when you go swimming and get water in your ear, except that it's not stopping. It's like Morse Code gone wrong. It's starting to hurt. It's like a thudding in my ear drum. Is this at all normal for anyone? should I go to the hospital - it doesn't seem that sever. It's just very annoying. LIke an ant is doing riverdace on my ear drum.

I had the exact same thing you are talking about for an entire week last winter - I love your description of it.
It went away and hasn't come back.

I did some read ing on it at the time and thought it was most likely "tennitis" (sp) which is ringing of the ears, and that sometimes in can be a thumping or tapping instead.
