It might not be a lot but I did make it through day one…  I did not make it to the AA meeting because my friend who I want to go with me backed out. She is has been in recovery for about 1.5 years and I thought she would be a great support for me while I transitioned through this process. But, she had to work through no fault of her own she could not make it. I am going to try again tonight and see if she can make it. If not tonight I will go by myself. It is only a small step but for sure it is a step.

And last night my husband and I did go out to the bar that we play texas hold em at and I did not drink. It is odd the social pressure of drinking. I even told a few people that I am attempting to stop and you know what… most of them were truly understanding. It was great to be supported.
