Tomorrow I am off to Mooselip's cottage north of here, to spend a few days with the Mooseclan (including Mama Moose who is famous for her apple pies).

A few days on Moose Island on Codie Lake, swimming and kayaking and lots of gabbing and laughs...life doesn't get better than this. With any luck, there will be a bear spotting or a live moose or two and probably a snake or three somewhere, and you can be sure this codie will have her camera handy to catch the action.

One of the many many gifts of recovery has been the wonderful friends I have met here, and who knew that a Canadian codie named Ann would find such warm friendship with a codie from Ohio named Mooselips and get to visit and know each other in person each year.

So if I am missing in action (there are no computers on Moose Island) then just know that I am having fun in recovery with another codie and I will return sometime Friday with stories and pictures.

Have you been practicing your semaphore or whatever that silly flag alphabet is? I hope THIS year if there's a stranded boat you'll be able to do more than flap your arms and laugh yourselves silly.

I have decided to take a bullhorn, it's easier then semaphore....which is impossible to do effectively when a codie with her skirt caught in her underwear and a southern belle who shall remain nameless makes me laugh so hard I forget everything I know...which isn't much...I believe A-J was my limit.

Now Cats, I was certain I would see you and Mooselips in the Olympic synchronized swimming competition. For those who were not here last year...I present the Sync Swimming Team of Moose and Cats...
