In the day
Struggling with many things at present, in the middle of changing contracts and money is low. My daughter has not spoken to me for over two weeks as I pushed her a little hard on not disappearing into her dis ease. My enegery levels are very low and I sleep late a lot.
In the midst of all of this I still have no desire to pick up a drink or a drug. Thats because of the program that I work and all of the wonderful people I share the journey of recovery with.
If I can get clean and stay clean and have a really good life even when life takes a few swerves then take heart cos I was just a hopeless common graden junkie and when I got to the point I knew I was dying I decided to carry on and die but ... here I am living well and facing all of life as it is.

A lot of us are struggling with tough problems this weekend it seems. What do they say SOBER stands for again--Son Of a B., Everythings' Real!!
We'll just keep on getting through it...more is yet to be revealed. You are doing great Kev. You inspire me.
I'm confident that if we don't use/drink, things are going to get better!!

Person walks into a computer store and asks for some curtians for there new PC. Salesman says your PC doesn't need curtians. Persons says; "duh! its got windows!"
Made me laugh last night at teh 2nd half of a meeting.

Still struggling, have not been this low over a long period for years, seem to have little support as well.

I'm glad you are reaching out Kevin...hang in there. It will change. Hugs for you and your daughter. I watch my son, and I am scared. I beg him not to go down the path I did. It would just tear me apart to see him fall into addiction.
I'm jobless too, and keep searching. Are they having a recession there too?
Most important of all to me is to keep sober...for being an active addict will only make everything so much worse.
