He's Ok....

Ok - he's alive. Apparently the bus left him in a restroom in Richmond, VA.

Right.

Mom said he reeked of alcohol and was shaking like a leaf.

Onwards and upwards, eh? Trying to think positive...maybe this will represent a motivating bottom for him...maybe not...either way...I have to find a way to keep a neutral image in my mind or I go over the falls imagining worst case scenarios...

:praying

I also hope this new difficult chapter between me and my mom that I know is coming will represent a chance for me to grow, and heal, and forgive her....I know that would be good for me...

I really want to isolate. Having fantasies of living alone in a tropical beach-side jungle hut (with an improbably well-stocked library!!!).

Peace - and happy Friday!
B.

(((((Bern))))) I'm glad he has turned up. How are you doing hunny? You sound calmer!

Keep focused on you, remember that you can't force it, his recovery will happen when it happens.

Love and hugs to you

He left himself in a restroom. But you know that.

LOL Whenever I am having one of those "I want to run away from it all and stop being a responsible adult" moments, I talk of becoming a beach bum selling t-shirts in the Caribean.

Bernadette my thoughts and prayers go out to you. Keep your chin up and keep your focus on you. (I know sometimes that is easier said than done)

I, too, have tropical island fantasies, but they don't involve books (I can read those any place, any time). Mine involve a hot, naked, island man. Goodness, it's been way too long....

Glad to hear that your brother is OK. Remember that your mother has chosen to be a caretaker for your brother, but you haven't. Her responsibilities and choices aren't yours.

Some of those island men? I was thinking about just one, but why sell myself short? Note to self: Revise my tropical island fantasy to include multiple island men....
