Steps

Taking a journey today, to make sure that something I care about gets through this process without being splattered.

Its hard because I'm tired, emotionally spent, and drained, but I'll get through this and the other things because I'm concentrating on me.

With every step you take, that light at the end of the tunnel gets just a little bit brighter. It may not be noticeable, but it’s there.

We are the lucky recipients of an adopted dog. He was a gift given to us by a lady, a complete stranger, who could no longer care for him due to divorce. He has made our lives happy in a time of sorrow. Such an unselfish act. And we value him all the more, knowing he was a gift given to us. We truly believe that our late dog sent him to us.

Try and give yourself a break. Take a day out, do things you enjoy. I call them “mental health” days. Even just going to a quiet park and reflecting. Not hard to do in this beautiful state we live in!

(((hugs))) You'll get through this.

I know what you mean Redd. I'm exhausted. I've been tired for a year. But I know it won't be this hard forever. I plan to sleep like a baby when I get some of this heavy stuff behind me! (((Take care)))

Good point...I have to remind myself of this every now and again.

If you're placing your dog somewhere else, won't that be a tip off to your wife?
