Woohoo!!!
hi all! first and foremost, i just wanna thank you all for your support and kind words over the past couple of days and for your responses and concern. that being said I MADE IT THROUGH DAY 3!!! the detox was really bad last night but i made it through the night(not much sleep though)and through the day.i know it isn't over yet and that every day is a new challenge, but t something was different today that i can't put into words. i attended a meeting tonight with a really inspiring lead and finally got myself a sponsor which feels really good. i am so grateful for this site and for this thread and i hope i have the chance to share some of the hope and support you have given to me with others.thank you.

That's excellent. I found that if I took it one minute at a time I would eventually have an hour, and then a day, and so fourth and so on. My detox took place in Iraq which was not fun at all and I feel your pain in that regard. Just keep trying for that next sober minute and you will get there. Stay strong.
Waa hoo Ambush!!! Day 3 is a hard one to get through and just around the corner to sleeping peacefully at night without nightmares. I think we all feel an incredible physical difference after the first 3-6 days and no hangovers in the morning is delightful! I'm so glad for you...it's milestone and it's an awesome one. :bounce
