Tell me something good...

I've been feeling really good lately about my daily successes and reading everyone's posts and helpful responses.

I feel good about all of the support that happens here, I know I would have stepped way backwards if it weren't for you...

Someone tell me something good that has happened to them recently, I need to feel the love today...

Heavy

We moved to a new city several months ago and I finally found a job, after months of searching. It's part-time (yes, I'm lucky) and daytime hours, so I am blessed. However, at this point, it's still a bit stressful, but I'm hoping this week will be better.

I am back at work today after a couple of week’s vacation. Just some of the things I did:

Camping.
Fishing.
Mountain biking.
Swimming.
Went to a football game.
Went to a concert.
Tons of stuff with my kids.
Fun with family & friends.

Today, I am totally relaxed, rested, and focused. Ready to work hard at a job I enjoy.

Alcohol has no place in my life.

Everything is good .

I got to enjoy my nieces 3rd Birthday on Sunday, SOBER. It's so nice going to my sisters without a hangover and feeling like crap.

I had the energy to jump out of bed early and hangover-less so I could take my sister to the clinic for her sonogram; seeing my niece for the first time, hearing her heartbeat, was life changing. I've never felt so much love for anybody before, and I am determined to be sober and available for that kid for the rest of my life.

I camped out with friends this weekend. Everyone was having such a good time. It was wonderful to just be a part of a group sober and free to be me and not worry about weather or not I'll be sober!

Each day I have the ability to be the best parent my children deserve to have, and I'm given the chance to participate in life with them. And as for having a sober relationship with my GF, that's a miracle to me!

I went to a ball game Saturday night and stayed completely sober. I can't believe that I would have ever paid $7 for a cup of beer. It was awesome to watch the game with perfect clarity.

Took my 14 year old daughter to the gym with me today. We did pilates and rode the bikes. I love hanging out with my kids.

I fell off my horse! Hard to see how this could be good news - LOL - but I'm not hurt and I was able to laugh about it, and continue to laugh...I still have some hurtin' goin' on, but it is GREAT to be able to LAUGH over a stupid mistake/injury...not cringe in shame because I did something stupid while drinking...no lying, no making up excuses....just fell off the horse! Makes me VERY determined to stay on the wagon!! LOL!

Thanks for the thread, Heavy! Jomey

Thanks guys! Hope you heal fast Jomey. Rode my bike to work again today, kind of sore, but like you at least it's not from falling down drunk!

Have a great day everyone!

Nothing specially "good" has happened to me but just staying sober and taking each day as it comes is good news for me!

I take one day at a time and for the moment I have accomplished more in a quiet time than I would with the world awake...... so I enjoy listening to the birds talking outside in my backyard before anyone gets up and I am able to walk around to think and just look at what is around me...

This is my world and the wildlife is what God has given us all to treasure each moment when the chance comes our way...

Have a good day..... Little Penguin
