You obviously don't want to drink tonight and that's half this day's battle won. You can tough this one out the satisfaction you'll gain at the end of your shift will beat the crap out of the possible guilt and remorse...More power to you girl!

You may have to find a new job.

In early sobriety I had to be willing to go to any lengths to stay sober. My sobriety was my number one priority. After 27 years in the same industry I decided to change careers which included a pay cut because I wanted to stay sober so bad. There are restaurants that don't serve alcohol.

Do everything you can to stay sober and keep your job but don't shut the door on anything that may keep you sober. Willingness is all you need for today as you look at what needs to be done to stay sober.

big hugs to you, Drummergirl and Jeeplady.
I don't know what to say except that I am praying that you both find some peace.

I had to stop doing what I did for work (housekeeping at a B&B) because it became a trigger for me. I was ALWAYS high at work! As of right now I am not working because I'd rather be broke than high!

Welcome....

When you order that shift drink tonight
"Give me a double orange juice please"

In my experience...co workers don't care
if you drink alcohol or not.

Good to see a new member...
