Song request on radio

Hey,

I am sitting here on myspace playing pool listening to a ny lite music station. This woman comes on saying she would like to request a song for her son Cameron. She said he has been in and out of drug treatment, doesnt know where he is and he is only 19 years old.

She requested the song "Some where out there"... she made me think of all the parents on here at SR... had me thinking of all of the people here who are missing there loved one to drugs. I would love it if we all could make a prayer for Cameron and all the addicts in our lives right now... regardless if we are angry at them, heartbroken, and even feeling numb.

btw the woman said she is attending alanon... I so was tempted to call the radio station so they could tell her about SR.

hugs,
Jewelz

Prayers for ALL our drug dependent loved ones!

(I often want to shout from the rooftops about Sober Recovery.
Everytime I attend a meeting, I want to tell everyone all about it, and how it has helped me, but I feel they discourage outside stuff....it has to have the AA/Alanon seal of approval)

Good thread, Jewelz. My life has changed so much for the positive that I wish everyone could feel what I feel today and wish everyone had a program, but, if they are like me, they aren't ready until they are ready and then they can find it on their own.

My prayers go out every day, for the addict who still suffers and for those who love them.

Hugs
