4th of July Thoughts
4th of July Thoughts
I haven't been on SR much this week since I went back to work on Monday but I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe, happy, clean & sober 4th of July!
Freedom is one of those words that naturally comes to mind for me when thinking of the 4th of July. Not just our Nation's independence, but my own from this disease of addiction. Today, as I did my morning program of Prayer, not only did I thank God for our founding Fathers fight for our freedom but to also keep our troops, who fight for us daily, safe from harm.
And as always, I continue to Pray for the addict/alcoholic who is still struggling to be free from the grip of active addiction as well as the addict/alcoholic who first picks up today. . . to the children who have no say so in the matter and suffer as a result as well as other family and friends who are harmed by this disease.
May God keep each and everyone of you safe, clean & sober today!
Happy Freedom Day to All!

While we are having our BBQs and watching our fireworks tonight.
Let's not forget the many men and women fighting for what this day stands for.
Maybe a moment of silence for our fallen soldiers.
Everyone be safe and have a sober fun holiday.
