Prayer Answered
Just 59 days ago I was hitting the bottle hard....hating myself, hating my life, fearing for my health. I was setting a bad example for my children. I was putting so much time and energy into living a double life.
Last night I felt God's overwhelming power as I prayed to Him during a fierce storm. For the first time, it became clear to me who was at the helm. I have always verbally ceded full control to God while in my heart I felt as though I ran the show. I am so blessed this morning to share with you that I have a new found understanding....a true appreciation.
I thank God for the blessing He gave me. I promise to work on keeping my role in perspective.

Indeed! And now I have a lot more energy to put into that one me......energy that was wasted... literally!

That was pointed out to me after my first post when I actually signed it L or D.
I did what any thinking person would do....I dropped "death".

That's wonderful! Appreciation and gratitude in life are, for me, so fundamental to being able to move forward. The times when I was stuck and miserable, I lacked the wherewithal to notice and appreciate. I'm so glad you have this peace and appreciation. Good for you! And congrats on your almost 60 days!

LD this is wonderful news! Congrats to you!
Keep moving forward and remember some wasted time takes us
to a better place in our lives-although we do not want to waste (like Anna pointed out)
