hoping for prayers

I wouldn't normally do this - I am just recently coming to learn about the God of my understanding, and figuring out how prayer and meditation and HP all fit into the scheme of things, but I do believe in the power of positive energy -so just want to ask for some prayers, good thoughts, good energy - however you like to call it - for a situatoin with me and my alcoholic father. We've been somewhat estranged over the past few months, but due probably to some degree of guilt and maybe a misplace attempt to be kind - he has to have a colonoscopy tomorrow and I volunteered to take him for the appt. His concern is how phsyically week he always is - on top of the prep for the scope which I hear is pretty unpleasant... added the general discomfort between the 2 of us, my anger, and worry about how all of this are going to turn out for him healthwise... it's just looking like it's gonna be a pretty tough day all around. So any extra kindness, prayers or good thoughts you got laying around - if you wouldn't mind sending them this way - I'd really appreciate it. Amazed at the things I read here everyday...
Thanks, Alice

Sending prayers that things go well for you dad, and that you have a peaceful day. Take a deep breath and try to relax while he is there.

Hi Alice,
Hugs and prayers for you, and your dad.

(and yes, you're right, the bowel prep is way worse than the actual colonoscopy!)

thanks everyone... the exam went smoothly, and health-wise, all is well with my dad. In a way, I think he was disappointed. The all-clear from the doctor basically means that yes, in fact his problems are related to his depression, anxiety and drinking - all issues he seems to be refusing to deal with. I think he'd prefer his doctor would have said, you have this terrible disease - here's a pill you can take...
Thanks for all your prayers, I was peaceful all day and didn't let his negative attitude affect me...
