OT Update about ultrasound

Please forgive my scattered train of thought ... I am mentally all over the place ... also, I'm sorry I haven't gotten back to everyone sooner, but my monitor went out right after I posted about the ultrasound, but yesterday I found one for 3 bucks at a yard sale .. signed on to SR but was unable to post cause of dial up .. can't seem to get to my PMs either

Anyhow thanks again to all who prayed and gave me their support ..

Blood test and the ultrasound came back normal, but they didn't look for the hernia (like I wanted them too) but they did find I have one gallstone, but on the 11th of this month I am going to the doctors to check specifically for the hernia (sigh) (i hope that is all it is) They also couldn't see the fatty cyst and told me that the ultrasound was not the way to look for the hernia or the cyst .. I was upset with my doctor for not ordering a test to have it checked out right as it took all I had for me to go to the doctors in the first darn place.

I found out also that I have rosacea ... then went to the eye doctor and was told I have ocular rosacea and he gave me ointment for my eyes.

Oh, and also the my doctor told me she thought I was depressed and put me on wellbutrin which after taking it for 3 days it depressed me so I flushed them down the toilet.

So now I'm at a stand still until after the 11th ...

I'll post more when I know more.

Love to all,
Passion

Passion -

I'm thrilled to hear from you and was hoping that it was all computed related like it turned out to be. That is great news that the US was negative. I know that you want info about the hernia and it sounds like you will be seeing the doc on that. Now - all these other things that are uncovered....stress can definitely cause a lot of physical symptoms and you are an example of that. Maybe Wellbutrin isn't the right drug for you. If you are depressed it is worth trying to find the right medication. Anyway - taking care of yourself the best that you can is always a good step. I had to flush away my initial attempts at antidepressant meds - they made me feel a lot worse. I finally found the right one for me but it did take some doing.

You are loved and many have been saying prayers for you. So glad to hear from you!

((((passion)))) echoing everything Donna said. It's good to know that the results are negative and that the possible problems are ones that are easily addressed. It is so scary waiting and not knowing, but knowing there is nothing super scary is a good thing.

I too encourage you to ask your doctor about something different. The first few days I was on Wellbutrin I felt like I was jumping out of my skin. But then it settled down and it helped tremndously. Different people react differently to antidepressants and sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to feel "right." It may really help to give something else another shot. Hugs and continued prayers.

(((Nyte)))

So glad you checked in. Although ultrasound isn't the test for the hernia, it would have picked up something internally and I know that's part of what you were worried out. I think the ultrasound is good, and ruled out some other scary things.

I do think your body is reacting to a lot of stress. You've been a trooper, handled everything with dignity and grace, but I'm sure you've also kept a lot inside, and your body is reacting.

I hope you get something that will help with depression, and get a definitive answer on the hernia.

You ARE very loved (as are Dakota, Savana, and Elijah)!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

Hey Nyte, glad to hear from you! Well, it's not bad news about the ultrasound! Sometimes, I think doctors know less than we do. My daughter got a fever out of nowhere and her urine in her diaper smelled fully. I just KNEW it was a UTI. I took her to the emergency room (fever 107!) I told them. They had to do all these stupid tests first and the last one? The LAST one was for a UTI. Guess what she had? A UTI.

(smacks me a few doctors)

Sometimes, our intuitions just know things. I guess we can't really prove what our gut is telling us (no pun intended in your case.)

Please keep us updated.

I was on Welbutrin for a while. It made my hair fall out. Consider yourself lucky that you're off it.

Hiya Passion,
I'm glad you checked in, and I'm happy everything is alright. A hernia, if they do find one, can be fixed, other serious stuff, not so fixable, so I'd say your ultrasound was a success.

As for Doctors.....(don't get me started ) we have to remember that they call theirselves "Practicing Doctors"
They "Practice" medicine, and unfortunately, it's US they practice ON! LOL

The way I have it figured out is this: Our "family" Dr. is just that, a family Dr. he knows a little bit of everything, but NOT a whole lot on any one specific disorder. That's why there's Specialists, I suppose.

As for the hernia, I'm not sure what type of hernia you're talking about here, there are several different kinds of hernias, depending on where they occur.

I'm just pleased you're okay.

And for the Dr. thinking you may be depressed, go online and take the self test for depression, and rate yourself. Maybe try some holistic kind of things before you begin any meds. I know for sure hearing children laugh and giggle is a big mood lifter for me. (and so are dogs, but I'm dogless right now...Boo Hoo)

Hugs, and prayers....

Hi Sweetie - I'm always a little late!

I'm so glad for the good report back from the ultrasound. I'm sorry the doctor didn't give you the right test for the symptoms you were having. Sometimes I'm convinced it's just a money making racket - not a healing endeavor.

I'll keep you in my prayers as always and hope the answers come. Ask for a different depression medicine. I know a lot of people that nothing that was prescribed "worked" for them. They all ended up on Prozac - good ole stand-bye and not some new drug that the drug reps are pushing. It's not a sign of weakness.

I love you and I'm glad you checked in.

Sorry I'm late too. Glad things went fairly well for you. I am saying prayers for you that this is minor and that it can be fixed easily. It is about time things changed for you and your family, for the better. All of you have been through so much lately.
Stay strong.
Hugs and prayers coming to you
