Curiosity killed the cat
Last Friday my xab called after 5 months of no contact to tell me that he would be in court today, he assaulted a policeman. He said that he would probably go to jail. Today is also his birthday. I havent called him but i am in tatters needing to know what happened to him.
Why am i letting this bother me????Ugh i feel so mirerable. He has this invisable hold on me and i hate it.
Is this a codependant thing again??

Yeah it is a codependent thing But you recognize that, and you're here to talk about it so cheers to that. Try to think about other things and do some healthy stuff for yourself, try not to get pulled in.

Your right It will make no difference to my life, what happens to him. It's just this uncontrolable urge to find out what happened to him, It feels really weird that im not involved in this drama.
How very dare him have a drama without me!!!!
Hey there's nothing codependant about me
Or mabye im just a nosey welsh woman!!!
Thank you all again for being here

hmmmmmm......why did he feel the need to tell you that? Because he hoped you'd jump in and help him. As long as it's passing curiousity and you're not obsessively thinking about it, I wouldn't call it codie behavior. On the other hand......if you can't get it out of your head.........:codiepolice
