Confused!!!!

Hey, Just wanted to run this by the experts and see what y'all think. I am a little confused, but not compaining by any means.

My hubby annouced that he was quitting drinking for 30 days around the 1st of May and proceeded through June 5th (over 30 days) since then he has had a beer here or there, but his attitude seems to have really changed. We have had two holidays during this period and everything was great. Usually I have to convince him to go to the fireworks, but this year he was all about it. We packed a cooler and loaded up the kids and had a great time. He made it through the news about the Harley having to have major repairs and finding out his mother has breast cancer (again) without drinking!! He has been pleasant to be around and easy to work with!!! WHAT IS UP!!! Years of drinking to be drunk suddenly have stopped and he only has 1 or 2 every now and then? COULD IT ALL BE BECAUSE OF ME WORKING MY PROGRAM? HAS ALL MY PRAYING FINALLY PAID OFF? DID HE NEVER REALLY HAVE AN ALCOHOL ADDICTION? IS THE SHOE GOING TO DROP WHEN I LEAST EXPECT IT?

HAS ANYONE HAD ANYTHING SIMILAR TO THIS HAPPEN?

I am confused, but definately not complaing......just enjoying everyday!

ALL THOUGHTS WELCOME

Constant -

My husband doesn't have a casual beer or two, it is all or nothing. He goes long periods without drinking and has huge relapses so I'm not in your situation. My advice to you would be to enjoy each day as it comes as Alanon teaches. Keep up the prayers. Maybe you guys have had a miracle! Sure hope so.

PS - If it is a miracle, please let me know what prayers you have been saying!!!!!!!

(((constant)))

sounds like a miracle to me !
my daughter can never have a drink or two
like jojo's H its all or nothing.
But, i have friends who say they were an alcoholic
and now can drink on occasion, I think it rare and
wonder if they realy were but i cant judge that.
I like what you said about just enjoying every day
that is the way I am learning to live too and with
plenty of gratitude !

Hugs

I'm sure a big part of it is from working your program.
Good for you.

Myles, I would love to think it was something I had done (ms codie herself), but I am quite sure that it was a higher power intervention!

Jojo-so far it looks like a miracle! Pray for strength for you and for them....good luck!

Liddy- until very recent my husband never stopped at one or two either....I wish that everyone could experience what I am enjoying now!

Thanks for everything!
