Think why you want to be sober
write a list of reasons....
how your future will be brighter
Eat some Ice Cream ..Take a walk...shower
Get to an AA meeting
....Do anything but don't drink alcohol

Next, take some chicken braests and rub them down generously with paprika (wet your hands, it's easier that way) and lemon. Let them stand for about 30 minutes while you fire up the grill.
Put the breasts on med heat. After the first 12 minutes or so, douse the whole breast into some of the sauce and put back on the grill. Repeat this process for about 25 mins.
While you're at the grill, place some sliced pineapple on the side. Flip after about four minutes. Repeat, remove.
Now rub some fresh crunchy bread with some wholle garlic clove and a splat of butter. Place on the grill for a few minutes. Remove.
Fix some iced tea (lemongrass if you have it). Us Southeners prefer Luzianne. Kick back and enjoy. Oh yeah, some Jon Mayer, Lucinda Williams and John Lee Hooker in the background would be OK as well
Now I may weight 287 pounds, but I am sober and full.
Hugs and prayers. Enjoy your evening.
Dang it Daddio, you started another type of craving--BBQ...So I just went and made mine--little different than yours and uses a cheaper cut of the yard bird,
Boil up 8 bone-in chicken thighs for 15 min on low bubble. During that time:
Mix 1 bottle of honey BBQ sauce with a pinch of hot pepper (to taste), a 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 c water, T brown sugar, 1/3 stick butter, softened.
Take the chicken out of the pot, saving the water, and baste chicken skin side up with the above sauce, slather it on good. Place on foil on the medium-high grill and close the top. Let it cook 10-15 min while you:
Use 2 cups of the chicken cookin' water to cook up 1 cup of white rice, covered for 20 mins on low bubble. Keep it covered, but don't let it scorch. Use a little more of the chicken broth to steam some green beans for about 10-15 min in another covered pot or covered in a glass bowl with 2 T chicken broth in the microwave for 3 minutes. Add some slivered almonds to these and a bit of salt and fresh pepper, and a pat of butter before the steam.
After 10-15 min, when chicken skin is crispy, turn and rebaste with rest of sauce. When that side gets crispy, in about 10 more minutes, check for doneness by piercing the biggest thigh in the middle of the meat. It shouldn't bleed or be pink, should look like done dark meat. Now everything should be done at the same time, and it all only takes about an hour to crank out a yummy meal. I can even do this on a week night if I remembered to take out the chicken to thaw in the morning. It'll kill any cravings you have and knock you out to sleep all night...bliss...

Have you eaten yet? Sometimes if I get something to eat, grab a big glass of orange juice or a non-alcoholic beverage you enjoy and do something that relaxes you it can take you're mind off this. I know it's not that easy, but I know if I can get to about 10 or 10:30 then my logical side will kick in and I realize it's not worth drinking anymore. You gave me some great advice on my most recent thread
