No withdrawal symptoms
I can't remember how I felt when I quit drinking last time cos it was so long ago. I'm over 24 hours without a drink and I don't have any withdrawal symptoms at all. I'm not complaining just wondering if it has been like this for anyone else.
I drank (this is the first time I have ever admitted this to anyone) 3 sometimes 4 bottles of wine a day.
I don't know whether I don't have any withdrawal symptoms as I am fasting to overcome my addiction. I'm drinking lots of freshly squeezed juice, an unbelievable amount of water, taking psyllium husk, milk thistle, exercising and doing a daily coffee enema.
Anyone offer any advice? As I said, I'm certainly not complaining just wondering.....

I didn't have any "symptoms" that I have read that others had, either. We're just lucky. That's all. Just be thankful that you don't have to go through it.
Quitting alcohol on your own can be deadly. If you start to have any symptoms in the first three days or so, I think a visit to your doctor or ER would be appropriate.
Keep it up, and give thanks to God that you have it easy.
Oh, and welcome!

Started on day 3. I thought the symptoms would start within the first few hours. Learn something new here everyday.
I also hope I don't get any symptoms but if I do I suppose I will just deal with them if they arise.
Thanks for that jeeplady

It took a couple days before I experienced any physical symptoms, and then it was mostly difficulty sleeping and night sweats that cleared after a week.
:wtf2
I love my coffee, but I never contemplated anything like this....yikes. What is this supposed to do?

Hi Homeworker- I am glad to hear that you are not having a hard time with symptoms. I also was a wine drinker and could top about 3 bottles a day. I didn't have any major symptoms. But I did experience some severe headaches, stomach aches and a very bad case of irritability.
I hope that you continue to go forward symptom free! Good luck with the fast!

If your daily wine intake was that much and you're having no symptoms, you are really fortunate. I had withdrawal really horribly after quitting drinking the first time, and even after brief relapses I had withdrawal very bad.
So yes, you are very lucky. Pray you don't have any symptoms. Maybe something to do with your fasting and black coffee enemas. If that would eliminate withdrawals I'd have done it months ago!

Glad to know you are feeling ok so far.
My guess is you still have enough alcohol
in your brain and body to delay the onset of withdrawal.
I also guess that your inovative de tox methods
have not had time to do much of anything.
Hope all continues to improve for you...
