Hi Everyone,

I've got my 1st court date tomorrow for my divorce. I just realized I've been posting on here since I separated from AW and my whole story has played out on SR.

I had a hard blow Sunday in finding out about an affair she'd had with my best friend. But I'm far enough along that I know it's a good thing I heard about it - it explains a lot of behaviors from the past 8 years - but it's easier to know that it's a blessing than to feel it.

AW is trying to get alimony (we have no kids) and for me to pay a LOT of her debt. You can't get blood from a stone as they say, so let her squeeze all she wants. If by some chance she wins I will likely lose my house and have to file bankruptcy.

I found out since the affair was years ago it can't be grounds for the divorce, even though I just found out about it. Of course AW denies it, even though the other party admits it.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME FOLKS! I want this over so I can move on with my life...

It was my understanding that even a assumption of hints that an affair was happening was acceptable in court. (stays out all night or till the early hours of the morning) and now you have proof from the past. I would talk it over with the lawyer again myself.

Say a prayer before walking into the courts. Ask for serenity and a calm manner in your spirit and know that our prayers go with you.
