Hello...
Don't know really where to start. I guess I'm just writing this to give myself some accountability. Today is my second day of not drinking and I would like to keep that going.
I don't actually know how to really stop though... I mean, a lot of the time I just drink because of a lack of anything else better to do. So, I'm trying to do more exercising in my life so that I won't feel as much of a need to drink.
I don't know much about the whole 12 step program, I guess I'll just learn it as I go along. I figure at first I'll just make small goals, but, I'll keep coming back here so to check in.
Let's see about making it to day 3!:praying

Thanks Rella...
Well, I think I found them. The first step (if I was reading the correct thread) was to accept that all my other attempts have failed...
Wow, I don't know why, but that's a bit of a difficult thing to swallow... I guess I'll just mull that over a bit before I go on reading the next one...
Thanks again!

this is why we use that "one day at a time" phrase so often....live in the NOW. Working out and being active is one of the biggest reasons people can't kick this stuff, because you spend too much timing thinking about thinking and etc etc etc.
Lose yourself in the weights or the yoga room or running, pretty soon your mind shuts off, your soul starts talking and a lot of answers will come to you.
