HAPPY BIRTHDAY Canada!
I'm working Meg, but thanks for asking!
I asked the A if he'd like to go see the fireworks tonight, but it seems he'd rather stick his head in a bucket of ice water. Oh well.
Happy Canada Day to you too!

Happy Canada Day! I have plans to go out for supper and the fireworks with my A but you know how that goes. No expectations! But I have a back up plan and I intend to enjoy the day with or without him. What are your plans Meg? Have a good day!

Hi all
Spent the day with the kids - had a great lunch with Gramma and then took advantage of the free swimming... There were no fireworks here (small town ), but had a great day anyhow.
Glad to hear from all of you!

I had a great Canada Day too. Because it fell on a Tuesday, my husband had Monday off as well so we had one great weekend.
Strawberry picking (for the first time ever and certainly not the last) brought me a huge pail of beautiful berries and I froze some and I made something my mother always called 'Strawberry Cordial" which is mostly just mashed up strawberries with a little sugar added, and which is wonderful with heavy cream (not as sweet as whipped cream) and scones.
We took a long drive in the country and stopped at our favourite country Inn for dinner and saw several deer and beautiful horse farms and rolling hills.
I missed the fireworks last night, but could see them from my back deck in my jammies and bunny slippers.
