Greetings All!
Hi everyone:
My name is Artur and though I am not new to recovery, I am new to this site. I hope I am posting in the correct place, as I wouldn't want anyone yelling at me....
Anyway, I am speaking at my home group tonight, and I am very nervous about it. Thought if I wrote something about it, it would help alleviate some of my anxiety. I will be sharing my experience, strength and hope on the First Step at this meeting. With any luck, my story will touch someone and help them to stay sober another day.
Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. Hope to hear from some of you soon, and that this continues to be an enlightening and beneficial part of my recovery.

Welcome to SR Artur, if you are speaking on the first step I would say first pray for better understanding of the subject, read what applies in the BB and the 12X12 and then sit down and recall your experience with the first step.
Now just take it easy and turn it over to your HP simply asking him for guidance, show up a little earlier then normal for the meeting, find a spot to be alone and ask your HP to simply allow you to speak from your heart.

LOL Okay, sounds awesome! Yeah, I think I will to okay. I've been reading some stuff here online that I think has eased my anxiety considerably....This is a really great site, and I am sooooo Glad that I found it. I'll post again when I get back home tonight to let everyone know how I did.

Welcome, and also thank you for the time to post on my thread. I think this site has honestly kept me sane since I have found it. Glad to see you are adding more tools into your toolbox of recovery....seems I have been filling mine with beer a lot lately and getting those tools all rusty, but with each day I add more recovery rust off.
