O.T. I just adopted my first Webkinz...

Yep. I'm a 43 yo woman with 2 grown children. No grandchildren. (Thank God)
Yet my husband thought that I needed a dog. A cyber dog.
I named him Chi-Chi. Can ya guess why?
When I registered, I did it under my great-nephews name, age, and birthday.
lol I'm not a freak, but I also have a little pride. I was afraid to give my real age. lol I hope I was allowed to do that. He's the cutest little booger. The kids today have it so cool. There was never such a thing when I was growing up. If it was there when my kids were growing up....I couldn't afford it. So, I get to play house with my chi-chi and when my kids come to visit or even great-nephew, who I have identity-thefted, (Loves, is that a word or what?)they can play too. That site is the coolest. You get kinz to spend to buy stuff to fill your pet's room. I'm talkin' electronics, furniture, decor, and even food. Oh, you have to check in daily to feed them and show'em some love. I hope he doesn't die from neglect because I forgot about him.
So, you all need to remind me once in a while if I've fed my chi-chi. K?
I can't remember yesterday. Let alone having a cyber pet online that needs constant care and attention. Oh, bloody he!! Why is hubby such a sweetie?
I think he probably should have given me a stick of gum or something instead.
lol
Hope I made ya smile.
I love you all.

No need to feel embarrassed... there are LOTS of adults who have Webkinz! In fact, there's even a message board for adults who have Webkins. I spent several hundred dollars on them and I don't even have kids yet! My good friend who does have kids got me hooked... it was terrible LOL I got burned out because the website had so many glitches and problems, but it was fun while it lasted. So don't feel bad! Have fun in Webkinz World!

LOL, only you Book, would adopt a cyber pet.

If you get tired of this guy...it IS a guy dog, yes?...then I have an old deaf cat who'd love to spend some time with his Auntie Book. He types too, when he's not clicking up a storm trying to find "Nature of the Beast", his favourite TV show.

Don't feel silly. I think I play with my daughters Webkinz more than she does. She has 4 of them and cant keep up with them, so I log on a lot and feed/bathe/etc. them and sometimes play a few games or work

Linda...I just adore you kiddo! Thanks for making me smile!! Now I have to research this Webkinz thing...never heard of it before, sounds pretty cool. I think I'd better wait though. We're "temporarily" babysitting my daughter's fish ( its been a year now, she just can't seem to make it here when she has time and the transportation to bring them home, and I have held fast and firm to my commitment to myself not to nag her or ask even once more...I did it once, any more and I'd be trying to control things, right??) Anyway, hubby and I were away for a week and right before I went to the airport I realized I had no week long feeders left, just weekenders. So I plopped 3 in and prayed for the best. I think I made it home just in time! So until work and travel simmer down, I better stay clear of cyber pets. Megahugs, my friend!!

Thanks you all. I didn't realize how much work these cuties can be.
Shopping for, working for money to shop for, feeding, walking, ect.
Hubby says he's getting me a whole zoo of them.
He says it will help with my over "mothering" instincts. I think I've been
dissed. Duh!
I took chi-chi to the gym last night and ran him on the treadmill.
Then we both got bored and bought toys instead.
Now we're broke until I can get a job. lol
I wanted to work at one of the jobs, but it has requirements that I have to
complete first. Wow! Didn't realize they'd be so picky at Webkinz World.
Thanks for smilin' with me.
Hugs to all,

Linda......you crack me up!

Just what you need....another responsibility. You just might have something here. At least they don't ruin the carpets or chew the furniture, or chew my cell phone charger.

This might just be the kind of pet I need.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had kids like this and we could do whatever we wanted with them if they were addicts. We could put them into their little rehab and they would stay there until they became 100% better. Then when we got them back they would be model children. Hmmm! only in my dreams.

Maybe you could find someone else on here that has a webkinz and you could arrange a play date.

Have fun with little Chi-Chi.

LOL Linda.... I have to be honest I have been very curious about webkinz. I have showed them to my 11 year odl daughter but she never seems interested. Maybe I should just get one for myself.

He's alive, well, costing me way too much time. You have to work
for Webz money to buy stuff. He has the cutest little pants and short
set on right now. If it gets tight with the bucks...I'll have to sell the clothes off his back. roflmao.
Thanks, Loves. I knew you'd know. lol

Oh Linda ... you are precious and priceless. I guess Mr. Book thought you needed a diversion and it sounds like little chi-chi is just the thing.

Lotsa luck keeping up with the little booger and thanks for putting a smile on my face today

Chi-Chi now has siblings.

:day4

Yep! A raccoon I named Reecie and a beagle I named Buddy.
I told hubby that by giving me these new additions, my time is
being taken from him (I really mean SR. lol).

Funk,

Yes. I do dress my pets. lol
But only the cyber ones. I've been buying and selling stuff all day trying to
get their rooms perfect. Reecie has a big screen tv and humungus fridge.
He's one hungry 'coon. lol
Buddy has a "baseball" themed bed and nightstand. In honor of hubby.
The can visit each others room, too. That's cool.
I left them all in Rockin' Reecie's room watchin' the big screen in HDTV.
What have you all been up to? lol Nah, just kiddin'. I'll catch up now.
Later and much love,

p.s. Eventually I will start a photo album and will show pics to all my friends here. I am one proud, cyber pet mama.

I had never heard of webkinz, but think I will avoid getting one right now, as I can see myself getting addicted to them Besides, I still have the 3 cats and dog begging me for treats right now.

Thanks for the laugh, though...I have a visual of you working and buying things for your cyberpets!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy
