I have a dear friend in recovery who is bi-polar. He has problems with suicidal tendencies. Thursday he called a suicide hotline and threatened to kill himself. The police were sent and got him into a hospital psych ward for observation.

I'm looking for some online resources, something like this forum, where I can learn more about what kind of stuff he may be going through. I don't even really know the right way to be supportive.

I have zero experience with this kind of thing.
