30+ days and raging feelings
This Friday marks 42 days for me.
I feel frustrated, hopless, irate, nostoligic for the past, depressed from my past, and really working hard at being presnet in the now.
I can't help feel that my life is fxxup up beyond repair.

dunno if it helps, but I felt like that too...sometimes I still do...but my life is demonstrably and tangibly better now without drinking - even to an old pessimist like me.
We can't do anything about what we did yesterday - its today and tomorrow that counts, really
Don't let the rollercoaster of early sobriety dissuade you. If you're like me, you did a lot of damage for a lot of years. We take a while to heal properly.
You and I both know life will always have its up and downs but we're so much better equipped to handle them sober.
hang in there

I don't know about anyone else ....
but if my past drinking career was so wonderfully fantastic
I certainly would have continued.
When I did Steps 4 & 5 ...I forgave myself
and others and started over.

Sounds about right to me, good that you're experiencing some feelings!
A couple days ago I was dealing with road rage, this afternoon I was reprimanded by my partner at work for my attitude. It will pass. Until it does I'll continue to work my program of recovery and to practice what I've learned in sobriety. Prayer and meditation will help too.
I'm human, and I'm definitely a work in progress.

Life in general is complex and confusing.
Sometimes I feel like I just want it to go away, this is where sleep helps.
Just keep it up with the soberness, it makes it a bit easier. Try to get out of your head as much as possible (without drugs and alcohol).

Today is day five for me and I too often feel that I've damaged my life and my relationships beyond repair... at least, that's the feeling I get from my family "supporters". I will not drink today but can take no joy in my five days of sobriety. Sorry, this is not a good day here.
