11 days made it through the weekend
Just checking in to keep it real.
I reached 11 days today.. I am starting to feel the benefits. I am waking up in the morning and I feel so good no hangover..
I have told my wife I quit drinking and she really gave me a morale boost telling me I am much nicer and friendlier to her and the kids.
The kids are cuddling up to me and they havent done that in a long time.
I went out to dinner with my wife and some friends last saturday and I only had diet coke.... It was strange at first but after 30 min I didnt even notice the only thing was that I was drinking my cokes 2x faster that the rest was drinking their drinks. My friends new I had quit drinking so the atmosphere was really relaxed they did drink though.
So I am still on the right path and getting stronger every day.
This is the 2nd addiction I am batteling. I quit smoking 4 weeks ago. Stopped drinking 11 days ago.
The only thing to do now is to watch what I eat (250 pounds)....
Just to let you know I am still here ad fighting for my non alcoholic lifestyle
and for me to remember I am not normal so I cannot drink

That's a really upbeat post Vinnie - thanks! Gives us newbies a little hope. And as for giving up smoking as well - that's amazing. I wish I could manage that, but I can only do one thing at a time! Glad you're doing so well.
