My daughter is very unwell and I am out of ideas and am exhausted. I would very much appreciate your thoughts, energy and prayers at this time for her and I guess for me as her carer.

Of course thats not all!
My oldest dog Tobi seems to be slowling up and not coping with even the slightly cooler weather. He is 10 and his breed live to around 12, so thats something else I need to adjust to. Tobi and Rana have been my constant companions and its been wonderful to be able to be with them the last 3 years in recovery.
And of course my dis ease takes this oppurtunity to rear its head and the voice tells me that I have to do this alone and all those ppl at SR are no good all those friends you have made in NA what can they do ... and on it goes. There is a real danger for me that I will isolate and go completely mad and eventually, probably after a long long time pick up and then I am dead and where is my daughter then eh?
So talking to you guys, going to see my sponsor and off to a meeting tonight. I hate this fking disease but I love recovery and I so love being alive, a freind of mine said recently; "... I feel so alive..."

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's health problems. I hope that it is only temporary and that she will feel much better soon. I am sending lots and lots of hugs and prayers for you and your daughter. :praying

You aren't going to pick up. I'm clear on that. You are too needed on this planet. You have gained the knowledge you need to not "fight it," but let it's energy pass through you. It cannot take hold unless you give it a "home." Let the energy pass through you like the neutrino passes through earth.

I was not going to mention it to anyone.
I still feel like I want to hide
My daughter helped to keep me alive when I was using and has supported me in recovery, it is so good to have her back and now I don't know what will happen to her

You and your daughter are both very fortunate to have each other. Whatever is going on and however hard it is for you to see her suffering, you are a good daddy and that will always be a source of strength for her.
I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers and it doesn't really matter at all what the issue is because God is well aware. It's hard for me sometimes to place the proper trust in my HP for my own stuff, but in some ways much more difficult when it's one of my kids.
I forgot who said that God doesn't have any grandkids. That phrase helps me alot. I have two kids with serious medical issues and one of them just happens to be the AS that originally brought me into the rooms of Alanon, AA and NA.
A very wise friend of mine reminded me about how if things could work out in our (we parents) lives...despite so many obstacles....surely our kids can and will do the same thing. The letting go is not easy, but it's something I have learned I must do and maintain #1 for my serenity and sanity and #2 to offer my kids my confidence that they can face their own issues.
Many times I have said to my kids (not just the recoverying one) "I know you can do this." or "I'm sure you will know what to do." By expressing my confidence in them I think it really helps them alot.

can't offer you a lot of thoughts on your daughter.
Keep the lines of communication open with your daughter.
As far as isolating, I do most of my spiritual reflection alone. What, would the God of your understanding want you to do? Pray for strength to help you make the right decisions.
