HELLO ALL New User
Hello all,
I am a 34 year old male. And I am suffering here. I have been on pain killers, perc and vics, for somtime now. I was up to about i would say 6-10 5 mg percs a day maybe a few vic es in there too. I started to feel like I am an addict but nothing really hit til i was shut off.
So now I sit here pill less and its no fun no fun at all. I feel very lousy I am hot and cold, at the same time, I am sweating but i feel cold. I just dont feel good. what worries me most is its not even been a full 24 hours off the pain pills.
I can only imagine it getting worse.
Is there anything I can do to relive some of this bad feel?? Anything at all?
Thanks all,

Hi and welcome to SR. When I went through opiate withdrawl I got relief out of a hot bath. It only works while you in it, but you can take several a day. And stay hydrated. Iced tea, gatorade, water.
Welcome and please keep posting.

Hi,
Have you talked to your dr? He/she may be able to offer some advice as to how best to help with the withdrawl?
I am sorry you're going through this and I'm glad you found us.

Welcome to SR! . Detoxing from anything is never any fun. looking back on my experiences I found that its really hard to do alone. Once the withdrawals got bad I would find myself using again. even after the withdrawal passed I would go back simply because stopping wasnt enough I needed to learn and live a different way, had to break habits and change my attitude. I strongly suggest you seek am rehab or at least medical advice and find some type of program to help with recovery.
